  • For our free standard delivery service, an estimated delivery date will be on your order confirmation email. We will then contact you (via SMS/text) with your delivery date. You will also receive an email with your owner’s manual that includes important information to read through at your convenience.

Measuring for Delivery

Please can you make sure to measure the space you’re planning on putting your piece of furniture. It’s helpful to consider your surrounding area and account for anything that can’t be moved. Often, it might be helpful to lay masking or painter tape in the outline of your piece to ensure a perfect fit.

1. Doorways

Measure from the inside of your doorjambs. Be careful to note how wide your doors can open, and accommodate for doorknobs. If the doors can be removed, that might be a good idea to prevent damages. Always try and choose the doors that might offer the most generous space.

2. Stairways

Measure the width of your stairway (taking account if you have a handrail or post), and the height from the top and bottom steps to the ceiling. Be sure to look out for any sloped or curved surfaces. If your stairwell has a landing, make sure your piece can fit on and around it, both width and height.

3. Obstacles

Account for any low-hanging ceiling lamps or fans, breakable decorations that cannot be removed, stairway banisters or turns, or angled ceilings or walls. Be sure to completely clear a path for your piece; it’s always helpful to make more space than you think you’ll need, if possible.

4. Hallways

Be sure that every hallway on route to your final destination has enough room to accommodate your piece, especially if you anticipate any twist or turns you may have to make. Measure the height, width and depth, making sure the shortest measurement of your furniture is less than the width of your hallway.

5. Clear a Path

Plan your route and clear it out. Make sure you have a good game plan on how to get your furniture to it's final location. Planning ahead can save a lot of time and hassle when your furniture arrives. Remember, the quickest route might not always be the easiest. Plan for all the twists and turns that it might need to take as it enters your home.

6. Outside Area

Don't forget to measure the area around the entry point you plan to take your furniture in. Be aware of gates, porches, outdoor, and flower beds just to name a few. This always includes building lobbies and all paths to your apartment, loft or studio.

Other Helpful Measurements

Elevators

If you live in a building with an elevator, it’s essential that you measure not only the interior of your elevator, but also the door openings themselves. Taking diagonal measurements from the bottom of the doors to the back upper corner of the elevator are helpful for taller pieces. Also, you may want to ask your building management about service elevator access. 

Comparing Your Furniture

Sometimes the best way to know what you want is to compare it to what you have. Comparing your current sofas measurement with ours will give you an idea of how big our pieces are. For example, if you find that your current sofa doesn't have enough seating depth for your legs, you'll want to find a sofa of ours that has a deeper seating depth dimensions.

  • Before you buy, we recommend that you check that your chosen furniture will fit through hallways and doorways into your home, and into the desired room.
  • If your furniture is to be taken upstairs, measure the clearance height, especially if your staircase curves.
  • If your home has a lift, measure the height and width of the doorway as well as the liftt
  • On the day of delivery, make sure the route of the furniture from the delivery van is safe and clear, taking into account access to the back of the van.
  • Remove anything from the walls of the access route that may be damaged, or that may restrict the delivery of your furniture.
  • Put down protective material, i.e sheets on the floors if desired. Protect edges and corners of railings and doorways with bubble wrap.
  • Clear space in the room for the new furniture.
  • Pets should be shut in a separate room during the delivery.

  • After delivery, keep your furniture's packaging and quality control label. The label will be needed for reference if you need to get in touch with us about your furniture.
  • Check the furniture is in perfect condition. If you have any concerns, contact us immediately.
  • Please note, we do not remove or dispose of any packaging as part of our delivery service.

If your order is under £500 and all your items are relatively small, around 50kg or less, you will qualify for one of these three services:


Standard Delivery

  • Delivered by our expert dedicated delivery team.
  • Delivery will be to the front entrance on the ground floor of the property.
  • Delivery between 7am – 9pm.
  • You will receive a more specific time window the day before delivery. Please note that this is an all-day service and our delivery team may book your delivery slot any time between 7am – 9pm.
  • If the drivers are having difficulty locating your property they may need to contact you for assistance therefore please make sure you provide us with a telephone number which will be available on the day of delivery.
  • All kinds of service upgrades available.

 


Small Item Delivery

  • Delivered by one of our professional network delivery partners.
  • Delivery will be to the outer entrance on the ground floor of the property.
  • Delivery will be between 7.30am and 6pm
  • The driver will leave a card through your door if no ones home, to arrange re delivery. There is no redelivery charge in this instance.

Every order will require the driver to take a signature so please make sure there's going to be someone at home on the day. Failed deliveries can incur a re-delivery fee. Please note if you are based in Scotland or the South West, we normally deliver within 5-10 working days, however some locations at the furthest corners of the country can take up to 28 days. Please contact our team if you need further clarification.
